Jon Hart Design began in Houston, Texas as a luggage and handbag line in an awning and tent shop—the acquisition of an enthusiastic, 30-something, aspiring actor named Don Snell. Determined to make a product that didn’t require fasteners or clips (for lack of the proper equipment), his sewing skills from costume design classes at Trinity Lutheran, extensive travel experience and imagination were the building blocks of what is today an exceptional line of gift items, personal goods and travel pieces.

We have to admit to having a love affair with this line. The quality of the leather totes rivals that of Coach fifteen years ago—at a much more palatable price point. Pieces constructed from the heavy weight vinyl coated cotton canvas as are close to indestructible as you can get. And the Texas Mink patterned cowhides? Fabulous!
